"Comparing Cleveland to New York won't fly in some circles, but the trio Elephant Bones channels the rambling nature of Ryan Adams and the darkness of a SoHo pub with accomplished ease. Produced by drummer Ryan Foltz, Boomerang is a tour de force of mid-'90s singer-songwriter college rock; think Steve Poltz backed by careening Posies. The voice of Eric Bee is the reason to stick this record out. Spinning his stories with a blind wit, he sings, "Let's go climb a tree," and it'll send you straight to the Metroparks."

"confessional, with results both brutal and tender.  i hate to jaywalk across cliche lane, but this is more proof that cleveland rocks."

BIO:

Elephant Bones is a critically-acclaimed Cleveland band, often compared favorably to the Shins, the Posies, GBV, or, recently, to Death Cab for Cutie “if they knew who John Fogerty was”. These are battle-hardened musicians with a very catchy axe to grind; Off-kilter arrangements loaded with pop hooks and hip city-kid-in-a-coffee-house swagger. This is a greatest-hits of Midwest musicians, every member has lit up rooms all over the world in various past bands and they're ready to do it again.

Eric Bee. Eric is a classically-trained guitarist/singer/songwriter. Past bands include Pittsburgh favorites Blueberry Werewolf and Columbus' Uncle Gina. His solo R+B effort has produced an EP titled "forgot the flowers", pending release. Eric is also a skilled actor and appears in several independent films.

Ryan Foltz. Ryan is a studio engineer and producer who has served time in several bands including Cleveland 's Motel Blonde and Boston street-punk luminaries The Dropkick Murphys.Ryan now produces bands in his studio (Cleveland Audio) and also plays with Cleveland 's Boys From the County Hell . His drumming is direct and explosive and always centered on moving a tune forward.

Antoine. This guy is "that guy"... everywhere he goes he's the center of the party. Don't start a mosh pit without his permission, and do not taunt happy fun ball. One smurfin' good bass player who will tell you to your face to "get a job, hippie"
